Cheat’s Chocolate Mousse
Cheat’s Chocolate Mousse is a delicious dessert prepared with 2 ingredients- melted chocolate and cream. No added sugar, no strenuous whisking, no fancy ingredients- and ready in 5 minutes!
I call it my ‘cheat recipe’ as it takes 5 minutes to put together, and a delicious dessert is ready in no time. I love involving my children involved in this one as they really enjoy the science behind melting the chocolate and then stirring and whisking.
Chocolate Mousse may well be the ultimate chocolate fix at my home! This recipe makes the most rich, creamy, yet light and fluffy mousse that is comforting and satisfying at the same time!

Ingredients
250 grams dark chocolate
1 cup cream
Directions
In a bowl, add the dark chocolate and melt it in the microwave.
For melting chocolate in microwave- Break chocolate in a microwave bowl. Use low heat settings of the microwave. Microwave the chocolate for 30 seconds (or 20 if it is at high temperature) and then take the bowl out and give it a stir. Place the bowl back again in the microwave and repeat the process for 30 seconds, stopping, stirring, and returning to the microwave until the chocolate has melted. If there are one or two lumps that still have not melted, then keep stirring it outside the microwave to melt the last few pieces in the residual heat of the bowl.
Let the chocolate cool down slightly and then stir the cream into the melted chocolate until well combined.
Spoon between 3-4 small bowls or glasses. You can sprinkle some chocolate or rainbow sprinklers (optional) and refrigerate for an hour or until set.
Enjoy!
